1 Einleitung: direkter und indirekter Zugang zu Heines Kantrezeption

1In der Untersuchung der – insbesondere deutsch-französischen – Kantrezeption „hors des écoles kantiennes“ verdient unbedingt auch Heinrich Heine Erwähnung, der ab in Frankreich selbstbewusst als Vermittler deutscher Philosophie auftritt und Kant eine prominente Stellung zugesteht. Die offizielle Geschichte von Heines Kantvermittlung ist schnell erzählt, reduziert sie sich doch – abgesehen von einem satirischen Gastauftritt in Form eines Kant rezitierenden Gespensts in der Harzreise1 – auf die Darstellung in Zur Geschichte der Religion und Philosophie in Deutschland () bzw. De l’Allemagne (), wo, dem Plan des Buches gemäß, vor allem die angebliche „sociale Bedeutung“ des Kantschen Hauptwerks herausgearbeitet wird: Heine setzt Kant als philosophischen Revolutionär dem politischen Revolutionär Robespierre in Parallele und spricht vom Erscheinen der Kritik der reinen Vernunft unter Anspielung auf die Hinrichtung von Louis XVI als „dem Januar des Deismus“:
