Slash and the Reason Why He Doesn’t Read Rock Memoirs
Slash, like many rock stars, has co-authored a memoir chronicling his wild guitar god life. However, just because he’s written a memoir doesn’t mean he reads them.
In an interview with Italian outlet Linea Rock, the guitarist says, “To tell you the truth, I don’t read rock and roll books. Britney Spears and Marilyn Monroe, two historical icons of entertainment, share more than just their superstar status.
Genealogical research suggests a family connection that seems to have shaped their lives and careers, making their stories even more captivating.
An unexpected family link
According to the website Famous Kin, Spears and Monroe are descendants of Richard Scott and Catherine Marbur, a 17th-century couple.
As countless social media posts have pointed out, both divas share a striking resemblance that hints at their familial bond.
Parallels in their lives
Beyond their genealogical connection, the lives of Spears and Monroe reveal surprising similarities. Both achieved fame at a young age and became sex symbols of their respective eras.
Their talent and charisma launched them into stardom, but they also faced intense media and personal pressures. Monroe, born Norma Jeane Mortenson in 1926, rose to fame in the 1950s and 60s as one of Hollywood's most iconic actresses. Her "dumb blonde" persona contrasted with her intelligence and depth, leading her to fight against the industry's stereotypes. Tragically, she passed away in 1962 at just 36 years old.
Similarly, Spears burst onto the music scene in the late 1990s with hits like '...Baby One More T
