The Polyforum Cultural Siqueiros is a cultural, political and social facility located in Mexico City as part of the World Trade Center Mexico City. It was designed and decorated by David Alfaro Siqueiros in the 1960s and hosts the largest mural work in the world called La Marcha de la Humanidad. The building has a theatre, galleries and more, but the main focus is the Forum Universal, which contains the interior portion of Siqueiros' mural work. Visitors can experience the mural while standing on a rotating stage, listening to Siqueiros narrate.

[edit]The Polyforum is a decagon shaped construction with different exhibition spaces that feature David Alfaro Siqueiros’ work.[1] The building is part of a business complex called the World Trade Center Mexico City in the Benito Juárez borough of Mexico City.[2] This complex was designed by architects Joaquín Alvarez, Guillermo Rossel de la Lama and Ramón Mikelajáuregui, and built just outside Parque de la Lama, but the Polyforum was designed and decorated by Siqueiros, who nicknamed it “El coronelazo.” The exterior is in the form of a diamond and the inside has eight sides.[3] The building with its murals is considered

David Alfaro Siqueiros was a Mexican painter and muralist who was born on December 29, 1896 in Chihuahua, Mexico. Along with Diego Rivera and José Clemente Orozco, he was one of the founders of the modern school of Mexican mural painting. His art reflected his Marxist political ideology and he was known for creating large public murals using the latest equipment, materials, and techniques.
Siqueiros had a prolific career featuring social and political subjects in his work. He introduced technical innovations in his murals and easel paintings that set him apart from other artists at the time. Siqueiros was educated at the National School of Fine Arts in Mexico City and did further study in Spain, Italy, and France to refine his artistic skills.
Throughout his career, Siqueiros used art as a means to express his political beliefs about labor rights and inequalities within society. His style evolved over time to reflect changing societal values as well as advancements in technology. Today, he is considered one of the most important figures of 20th-century Mexican art history due to his contributions to public art projects throughout Mexico that inspired future generations of artists.
